Despite arriving at this venue with 4 other friends for my birthday, I cannot fault the food and vibe on the rooftop. Recommendations include: Fish of the day (Chicken tacos) featuring fresh Chilean Sea Bass; excellent service from waiters and attentive servers; delicious dinner; date night recommendations only!
Mozambique is a unique destination in terms of its diverse menu options and varied food choices, earning it ten stars. The portobello stack as main course and the more traditional eggs and bacon and potatoes for breakfast were both delicious dishes that my date enjoyed alongside great service.
Upon entering the restaurant, I was immediately impressed by the stunning decor and luxurious furnishings. The combination of modern design and traditional African touches exuded elegance without being overpowering. Everyone in the staff was very welcoming and helpful, making my meal truly unforgettable. And the food served up perfectly as promised.
My second time visiting Mozambique has been a positive experience, not to mention the company. Our first experience was on the rooftop with heaters for comfort during chilly monday nights and staff monitoring throughout the stay. Although we had waited late, our meal was delicious, and the service was subpar. I felt terrible afterwards because my date didn't tip me enough; I never saw him again!
Take in the view of Laguna from Catalina during happy hour and stay for a breathtaking sunset, sipping on South African cuisine with peri-peri chicken and Leche martini.
For Valentine's Day, I had a fantastic dinner at Mozambicque in Laguna Beach. The restaurant offers valet parking ($7 for 3 hours), heated outdoor seating, and 7 entrees. My loved ones enjoyed the three courses served up by the restaurant; mushroom, rib eye steak, bacon tenders, plus mushrooms and onions. Our table was also light serving as appetizers but my BF couldn't resist the mushroom soup and burgers!
Excellent food and wine pairings, friendly staff, excellent service, and a great atmosphere. The other tables were impressed with my seafood curry.
Outstanding customer service, excellent food preparations such as seafood curry, breathtaking views, and the presence of parrot/tucan charm at the entrance. We'll definitely come back for more soon!
Excellent service, delicious food. The waitress provided us with information about the different sections of the restaurant. We chose to stay in the piano room, which was a plus point as it was more private. They also engaged with the audience and played an impressive role. Our meal included sea bass, group meals, calamari, fresh prawns, and seafood curry all eaten together over two days.
During our Easter Sunday lunch, we were seated at the back of the restaurant while our hostess was busy with other guests. We had to move chairs and fill up our seats as the rest of us were completely filled due to the lack of food available. My husband requested a draft beer that was not cold, but our waiter rectified the situation quickly.
